The Old House Survey lists houses built prior to 1900, with current photos of some houses as they look today and a few old photos of how they USED to look.
Help us find your great Grandparents house!!
If you would like to add your house to the survey or help us with any of our projects, please contact our President, Joan Partington, or our Research Historian, Judy Rappa.
Current house number and street name are required to submit your house to the survey.

CEMETERY ENUMERATIONS:
We have partial lists of those buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Marlboro, Milton Cemetery in Milton, and Cedar Hill Cemetery in Middlehope. Names and dates are taken directly from the headstones and newspaper obituaries. If you would like to research these lists, or have information pertaining to these cemeteries, contact Joan Partington at (wildflowers@verizon.net).

NEWSPAPER PROJECT
The society is currently having local papers put on microfilm. The first 9 reels have come in. This will be a wonderful source of information to any researcher, as these papers date back to the 1890's.

We encourage anyone with an old home to register it. There are a lot of myths about registering. For example; you must remodel or renovate to government specs. This is only true if you accept a grant, but not for just registering. Some of the benefits are that it keeps your house from being taken by the state and federal governments, if there is a road going through or for other reasons. Historical Driving Tour
We have a driving tour - with map - to some of our oldest homes. The properties have a plaque in front, with information about the building. These plaques were made by a girl scout and her Dad for the historical society.

The Milton Train Station
The train station is located at the foot of Dock Road in Milton, New York. One of the few remaining train stations along the Hudson, The Town of Marlborough has acquired this property to make a waterfront park, and the Marlboro Historical Society is proud to support "the friends of Milton Train Station", a committee of our Society, with Glenn Clarke as Chairman. It's purpose is to raise money and public support to restore the station to it's original condition
