This house is a frame structure of Dutch architecture, built about 1760. Mr. Lewis operated an Inn in the house, which had also been a tavern. George Inness, a famous landscape and portrait painter, used the barn as his studio in the 1880's.

This picture is of the original Lattingtown School House, which still stands today. One of the last authentic one-room school houses

The Raccoon Saloon, originally a stage coach stop on the Kings Road between New York and Albany. This staple of the community got its name from a family of raccoons that lived there for years.

The caboose was a working piece of history. It rode the rails along the Hudson, keeping the conductors warm and dry as the trains traveled across this great nation, hauling cargo, as well as passengers. Can still be seen along 9W by the Cluett Schantz Park in Milton, New York
